その日が来るのが怖いって英語でなんて言うの？

その日が来るのが怖い、はI fear that dayで表現できますが、
年老いたペット(例えばワンちゃんなら)の話での"いつかは別れるけどその日が来るのが怖い"は、
I fear the day that my dog will dieで自然に表現できます。
直訳的なI know that my dog will die someday, but I fear that dayもOKですね。
