お店で店員さんに「このパソコンで日本語が使えますか？」とたずねるような状況では、「Can I use Japanese on this computer?」でも問題ありません。

Compatible とは（コンピュータなどが）〈…と〉[互換性](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/15081/)のある、[相性のよい](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/1059/)〈with〉と言った意味がありますよ。
