原因の一つはって英語でなんて言うの？

TOEFLやIELTSでよく使う表現です。

One of the 〇〇 is ...の〇〇の部分を変えれば他の表現でも使えます。日本人学習者に多くあるミスはisの部分を複数形のareにしてしまうことです。

「留学をすることを決めた１つの理由は〜」

one of the causes is
因果関係がある上での「原因」は"cause"。

one of the triggers is
何かの出来事の引き金になったもの、きっかけという意味での「原因」であれば
”trigger”を使っても良いでしょう。

単純に理由でしたら"reason"です。

原因の一つは○○である
One of the reason is ........................
