「観光名所」「[観光地](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/38884/)」は sightseeing spot や tourist attraction / spot のように言うことが多いです。
「名所」の部分を強調したいのであれば「[有名な](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/54342/)」という意味の famous などを使うと良いかと思います。
例：
Tokyo Tower is a famous sightseeing spot.
東京タワーは観光名所です。

「観光名所」というのは「Points of interest」と表現になります。または、「Tourist sights」と表現もになります。この場合は「名所」というのは「Points」と「Sights」と表現になります。
例えば、「個々の観光名所にはどんなところがありますか。」を表現すると「What are the points of interest here?」になります。また、「このあたりの観光名所はどこですか。」を表現すると「What are the tourist sights around here?」になります!

A tourist attraction means somewhere a tourist - a traveller to that country is attracted to - hence the phrase.
It is a 'must see' for a traveller visiting that country - they cannot leave the country until they have ticked this off their list!
A tourist spot shows that it is a popular place for tourists (and sometimes locals) to visit.

We can say 'Tourist hotspot'. A hotspot is a place where an activity is popular, so tourist hotspot means popular for tourists.
Tourist trap is a more negative phrase. This means a place used to make money from tourists.
