■Good work : よくやった、頑張った
結果に関わらず、行ったことに対しての頑張りをねぎらう言葉として使われます。

When someone has finished their final exam as a student, it means their life as a student has finished and they are about to begin a new stage in their life.
Like in a book, this "chapter" is coming to an end (student life) and a new one will begin (professional life).
If you want to tell someone they did a good job on something, you could simply say, "Good job!" Since this has to do with finishing a test, and graduating, and no longer being students, you could say something like:
"Good job! We passed the test! We are no longer students now, and we are in the real world!"
There are also several other ways of saying this, but to my understanding, this is basically what you would like to say.
