1：only を使う場合は、後ろに but also が来ます。一般的な表現に使うので、イディオムとして覚えておきましょう。

2：just を使うと only よりも（柔らかな印象もあって）自然です。この場合も後ろに also を使って続けます。

3：2に似ていますが、about を入れない言い方です。
It isn't just going to class that's important, it's also thinking about what you are learning.
(You should) not only take the lessons but also think about the relevance to Japan or the current situation.
ただ授業を受けるだけではなく、現在と、または日本との関わりをかんがえるのです。
話している相手にむかって助言するようなニュアンスなのかなと判断し、このような例文を作成してみました。"relevance to"は「〜との関連性」「重要性」という意味の単語です。
"not only - but also-"は「〜だけでなく〜も」という定番のフレーズですので覚えてしまいましょう！
