意欲とやる気って英語でなんて言うの？

仕事に関しての意欲とやる気は次に訳することができます： 1. eagerness and enthusiasm 2. hunger and drive 3. desire and motivation 意欲＝eagerness, hunger, desire やる気＝enthusiasm, drive, motivation 例文： 1. 「意欲」という言葉を英語で伝えると、「motivation」という言葉も「drive」という言葉も使っても良いと考えました。この二つの言葉は名詞です。「Drive」は「運転する」という意味もあります。例えば、「The new hires at our company seem to have a lot of motivation and drive.」という文章を使っても良いです。「New hire」は「新入社員」という意味があって、「seem to have ~」は「〜がありそう」という意味があります。

「意欲」と「やる気」という言葉は英語で複数の言葉を言えます。その中から次の言葉がつかえます。 Tenacity: 「意欲」とほぼ同じ意味で、「指示を待つしかなさそうな態度の代わりに、積極的に頑張る」ということを表します。形容詞として、Tenacious と言います。 Enthusiasm: これもTenacityと似てる意味ですけど、表情のイメージが違います。 Tenaciousな人は真面目に見えて集中するのです。Enthusiastic な人はもっと気軽で微笑みながら働く、というイメージです。 The newbie is tenacious and enthusiastic; I like him.（newbie = 新入社員）

英語で 「意欲」は hunger / drive / motivationです。 よく the + hunger/drive/motivationを使います。 例えば、 I have the hunger to become president 社長になるまでほど意欲があります やる気　＝ Willingness だから、 新入社員の初日の姿から、意欲とやる気を感じることができた I could feel the drive and willingness to be succesful from the new employee on the first day. ご参考になれば幸いです

「意欲」は英語でいくつの言意味がありますが、一つのは「ambition」又は「desire」です。「やる気」はいくつのよく使われている言葉があります。「eagerness」、「motivation」、「determination」、又は「high aspirations」がよく使われています。こういうものは新入会員に表せるのはとても大事です。こういう特徴が見られない上司はあまり認められないかもしれません。
