The 比較級～, the 比較級・・・「～すればするほど、ますます一層・・・する」という意味を表す構文を用いた文をご紹介します。
一つ目は
The more money people make,「人はより多くのお金を稼げば稼ぐほど」
the more greedy they become.「ますます一層強欲になる」
です。
※make money「お金を稼ぐ」
※become greedy「強欲になる・欲が出る」
二つ目は抽象度を上げた表現ですが、
The more they have,「より多くを持てば持つほど」
the more they seek.「ますます一層彼らは探し求める」
という意味です。
※seek「探し求める」
どちらも人間の欲深さを伝えることができると思います。
