「学びを深める」は「study further」で、「さらに」のニュアンスを「even」で表せます。
further は程度の「深度」を意味し、fartherは「距離」も長さ・程度を意味します。この場合はfurtherです。
further education とは、義務教育を終えた後も継続する教育ですが、furtherはこの様な意味で使われます。
