英語を主要言語としている国のことをan English-speaking countryと言います。
そしてそれらの総称、つまり「英語圏」をEnglish-speaking countriesと複数形で表すのが一般的です。
逆に英語を主要言語としない国はnon-English speaking country/countriesです。
"I want to travel to English-speaking countries to improve my English skills."
（私は英語のスキルを上達させるために、英語を話す国々を旅行したい。）

私が調べたところでは、シンガポールなども English-speaking country と呼ばれることがあります。
また、「英語圏（英語を話す国の総称）」には the English-speaking world が使われることもあります。

There is a difference between the first and second example sentences. The first may refer to a country like Australia or England. The second sentence may also include countries where English is generally spoken but is not the first language, such as Malta - or even perhaps, Norway and Sweden where generally, there is an excellent level of English spoken and understood.
You start with the language that is spoken in that country. So, if the people living in that country largely speak English, it is called an 'English speaking country' or 'Anglophone' (English speaking country). Likewise, if the people in a particular country speak French, the country is 'Francophone' meaning that the population in that country is largely French speaking. It is a 'French speaking country'.
So, you may say:
This country is Anglophone.
or
This is an English speaking country.

An "english speaking country" describes the country you are talking about as one where the people who live there speak english as their first language.
If you want to talk about the language of the country, you can say "English is the native language", meaning that english is the first language of the people who live in the country you are talking about. "native" is a word used to describe something that is of the place of birth. So here, "native language" means the language of the people who are born there is english.
