Would you react badly if I say something that sounds a little weird?
You can use 'rather' or 'a little' to moderate the word 'weird' so that it will seem less of a strange question! You are preparing the listener to hear you say something which is probably a little unusual, and these phrases should be adequate for that.
2. I thought of something quite strange/weird. Can I share it with you?
1. Strange- is also a good word to use to describe something that is a little bit more unusual than normal.
2. This is a nice way of introducing your strange topic of conversation to someone before saying it.
I hope this helps :)
If you describe something or someone as weird, you mean that they are strange.
'Can I say something weird?'
You are asking permission to say something weird/strange.
'This might sound weird but......'
You are stating that you are about to say something weird/strange.
weird なものや人と言ったら、それらが変だという意味です。
'Can I say something weird?'
おかしなこと、変なことを言ってもいいか聞いています。
'This might sound weird but .....'
あなたがおかしなこと、変なことを言おうとしていることを伝えています。
All of us can have some weird/strange questions sometimes. The best way to ask it would be the first phrase because it's more polite and you kindly asking for permission. The second one is a direct speech, so your friend could be surprised by what you are going to say.
May I share something, that might sound a little weird?
We may find it awkward or difficult to share all of our thoughts...Just in case they come out sounding a bit weird;-) in the event we are concerned about an other's "reaction": We could " predicate it" with this handy litle phrase:
"May I share something, that might sound a little weird?"
私たちの考えを全て誰かに共有すると
なんだか少しぎこちなくて難しい事だったりしますよね。
万が一.ぎこちなく伝わってしまったら;-)
相手の "reaction"(リアクション)が気になりますよね。
その場合は、この便利なフレーズを使って"predicate it"(予想する)事が出来ます。
【例】
"May I share something, that might sound a little weird?"
(少し変な事を言ってもいいですか?)
You can use both the words “weird” and “strange” to describe something that is abnormal, or unusual.
Ex:

例:
A: Can I ask you something really strange?(変なことを聞いてもいいですか)
B: yes you can!(はい、いいですよ)
