During hot summer days, many people enjoy the alternative to ice cream which is ice with fruit juice called a snow cone or shaved ice.
Shaved ice generally is more finely cut so that it is thin and soft almost like soft snow.
A snow cone has larger ice pieces put together into a ball shape and served in a paper corn.

" in a jiffy"! and is found almost everywhere

As a child, I remember going to the store and having a snow cone. It was fun to suck out the juice but at the end, it "sucked" to be left with the shavings of ice that reminded you of snow. It's frozen fruit juice which has been broken down into small slithers of flavoured ice and arranged in a dessert bowl. As it seems difficult or almost impossible to find this in the UK, it may just be better to call it by the Japanese name of 'Kakigori.'
