By using any of these phrases you are positively telling your teacher that this material was new for you, but you enjoyed the lesson. You are also able to express that you enjoyed learning the material that was new for you.

You are clearly delighted that some new or challenging or unusual material was presented to you during the lesson and you feel it has really helped you! You may declare to your teacher:

The two sentences you see provided above are terrific ways to express to your listener that it was great learning something new in your lesson. In the second sentence you will see the word awesome.
