When speaking to a child you have to keep it simple so they can understand what you mean and usually the tone of your voice will make all the difference A simple 'don't throw your toys!' would probably work but if you want to tell them and explain why then you could say 'It's not nice/it's not good to throw your toys'

In order to explain to a child that it is not ok to throw toys, you would need to use a very simple and direct approach. You could state, "It's very bad to throw toys". The word bad is basic but strong enough for the child to understand that it is unacceptable for them to behaviour in this way.

The two sentences you see provided above are terrific ways to express to your listener that throwing their toys is not OK.
