"[子ども](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/44764/)を可愛がる"はloveやadoreと表現されることが多いですが、[溺愛](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/33006/)まではいかない感じで、ここではあえて他の表現をご紹介しています。

1)は直訳すれば”子どもの世話をよくする”
be fond of a child
2)は”子どもが好き”となります。
この場合は、面倒見が良いという表現がぴったりくると思いました。その場合はこう言えるかもしれません。

(私の娘は近所の小さい子供達のことがとても好きで可愛がっている)。
takes care of - 可愛がる
上記のように英語で表現することもできます。
take care of は「世話をする」や「可愛がる」という意味で使うことができる英語表現です。
例：
My daughter takes care of the children in the neighborhood.
私の娘は近所の子供達を可愛がっています。
