～するより～したほうがいいんじゃない？って英語でなんて言うの？

この場合では「より」は「rather than」「instead of」という意味です。

"Rather than asking me, wouldn't it be better to ask a station staff member?"

私はゆすけさんの例が使っている文を作りました。
Wouldn't it be better to ask someone who works here instead of asking me?　(これはどこでも一般的に使えます。)

You'd be better off asking a station attendant than asking me.　(この文は「than」(より)を使っています。)

「Rather than」と「than」は「instead of」にかわりに使えます。

様々な言い方ができると思いますが、例えば以下のような英語表現はいかがでしょうか：

You should ... instead of ...
〜じゃなくて〜した方がいいですよ

You should ... rather than ...
〜するより〜した方がいいですよ

以下は「した方がいい」の意味でよく使われる英語表現です。

You should … 「あなたは〜した方がいい」
You might want to …「〜した方がいいかも」
It might be a good idea to …「〜した方がいいかも」
