sea level => 海面 海面が上がる => sea levels are rising (to) cause => 起因する low-lying islands =>標高の低い島々 low-lying parts of the islands => 島々の標高の低い部分 be submerged => 水没させられる ご参考になれば幸いです。

  • Global warming is causing the ice in Antartica to melt, causing water levels to rise and cover islands.

The scientific reason why Antarctica is melting is due to Global warming and the melting of the large masses of ice. By Using this phrase you are letting the listener know why the water levels are rising (global warming) and the consequences of it (islands covered by water).

  • The ice in Antartica is melting so sea levels are rising and some low islands are being submerged

  • Some low islands are being submerged and sea level are rising as the ice in Antartica is melting

Ice is solid water using in a block if it starts to defrost/become water again then this is called 'melting' rising means that something is getting higher or bigger Submerged means to go or be under water

  • Due to global warming, some low-lying islands are being swallowed by the sea

  • Melting polar ice is causing some islands to vanish under the sea

    play icon

Well, you could talk about Antartica, though to be strictly correct, you should mention both polar ice caps.: 'the poles' - as both are affected. Rising sea levels due to melting ice is a commonly-known news item, so if you start to explain this in detail, it may appear condescending or patronising - unless you are speaking to a group of five-year-olds.

  • Global warming is causing ice-caps in Antarctica to melt, which is making sea levels rise. As a result, some islands have been submerged due to rising sea levels.

Global warming is a complex issue most people still struggle with. You can explain by saying: -Global warming is causing ice-caps in Antarctica to melt, which is making sea levels rise. As a result, some islands have been submerged due to rising sea levels. -The ice in Antarctica is melting and sea levels are rising to a point where some islands are being submerged.
例: -Global warming is causing ice-caps in Antarctica to melt, which is making sea levels rise. As a result, some islands have been submerged due to rising sea levels. -The ice in Antarctica is melting and sea levels are rising to a point where some islands are being submerged.

  • The Antarctic ice is melting which raises the sea level causing some islands to be submerged.

  • Some islands are being covered by the sea because of the melting ice of Antarctica.

"The Antarctic ice is melting which raises the sea level causing some islands to be submerged." can be used to explain about the melting ice from Antarctica and its effects on raising sea levels.
"The Antarctic ice is melting which raises the sea level causing some islands to be submerged."

  • Because the ice in Antarctica is melting the sea level is rising and islands are sinking.

  • The ice in Antarctica is melting so the sea levels are rising and islands are getting smaller.

    play icon

Here are two ways that explain because of global warming the sea levels are rising and Island are getting smaller and disappearing. "Because the ice in Antarctica is melting the sea level is rising and islands are sinking." This explains that islands seem to be sinking because the sea level is rising due to the ice caps melting. "The ice in Antarctica is melting so the sea levels are rising and islands are getting smaller." This also explains that the sea levels are rising because Antarctica is melting so Islands seem to be getting smaller.
"Because the ice in Antarctica is melting the sea level is rising and islands are sinking." "The ice in Antarctica is melting so the sea levels are rising and islands are getting smaller."
