午後になると、だんだん寒くなってきたって英語でなんて言うの？

❶ It gets colder later in the day.
(夕方ごろになると、だんだん寒くなってくる)。

❷ It gets cooler later in the day.
(夕方ごろになると、だんだん涼しくなってくる)。

Later in the day は夕方ごろ(１７時ごろ〜)のことです。
Cool は「涼しい」という意味ですが +er を足すことによって
「だんだん」と言う意味になります。Cooler=だんだん涼しくなる,
です。

例えば:
In Mexico, it’s hot in the afternoon but it gets cooler later in the day.
(メキシコでは、昼間は暑いが夕方になるとだんだん涼しくなる)。
〜という言えます。

午後になると in the afternoon（実はこれが when it becomes afternoon になりますが、こ
　　　　　　　の場合で in the afternoon の方が適切な言い方になると思います）
だんだん gradually/bit by bit
寒くなってきた got cold

「午後になると曇ってきて寒くなってきた」というのは It got cloudy and cold in the afternoon と表現できます。
