写真って英語でなんて言うの？

写真の事をphotoやpictureと言います。
例）Nice picture!

「写真」は photograph や、省略した photo、他には picture などとも表現されます。

【例】
I love this photo!
「この写真大好き！」

Could you take a picture of us?
「私たちの写真を撮ってもらえますか？」

写真を撮ることの話はとても面白いです。普通に、皆は「picture」を言います：
I love taking pictures.
Are you good at taking pictures?
もう一つの言い方は「photo」です。「Photo」の使い方は「picture」よりもっと理解しにくいです。問題は「picture」はカメラで撮られたものと、手やコンピューターで描かれたものも使えますけど、「photo」はカメラで撮られたものだけです。
photo album, but not picture album.
photoshoot　（写真撮影）, not picture shoot
「Photograph」も大丈夫です。しかし、この三つの言い方の中に、もっとも使用されていません。プロの方は「photo」や「shot」も使います。
Did you get the shot? 　get the shot =（もっともよい写真をとる）

→写真撮りましょうか。

→写真お撮りしましょうか。

I don't like having my picture taken.
→写真を撮られるのが好きではありません。

ちなみに一眼レフカメラは"Single Lens Reflex Camera (SLR)"と呼びます。
最近はSLRの前にDを付けて"Digital Single Lens Reflex camera"となりますよね。
