新入幕力士って英語でなんて言うの？

英語では表しがたいですけど、そういいえます： "Newly promoted to the highest-rank sumo wrestler." 「新しく上級に移動した力士」は直接の和訳ですが、「新入幕力士」として使えます。 あと、直接「幕内」を使えるかもしれない。 "He was promoted and can now enter to Makuuchi." 参考になれば幸いです。

相撲の用語のため、もちろん直接相当する英語がないんですが、上記の英訳例を使えば伝わると思います。 相撲の詳しくない人は恐らく「幕内」の意味が分からないので　"top division" （階級）で説明する文章を使えます。 注意点〜 ”Newly promoted to the highest-rank sumo wrestler.”は文法的に間違っている英語となります。訂正しますと＝＞　"A sumo wrestler newly promoted to the highest rank." しかしhighest rankは横綱なので、意味合いも少し違います。 "He was promoted and can now enter to Makuuchi."　も少し不自然なります。正しいのは　＝＞"He was promoted and can now enter the Makuuchi division." ご参考になれば幸いです。
