When staying in many hotels they provide a luggage storage service in a secure room of the hotel so that your belongings are safe.
When you want to return to the hotel to take back your bags either of these answers are a good way of asking for them back.
When we 'collect' something this is essentially when we take back or gather something. So in this example you are taking back your bags from the hotel. "Hi. I have come to collect my luggage."
Most hotels will give you a card, use your room number or passport as a reference to collect the luggage.
Hi. I have come to collect my luggage.
I am here to take my bags out of storage.
"Hi. I have come to collect my luggage."
All three of these sentences indicate to the hotel staff that you would like to get your bags. Sentences #1 and #3 state that purpose. Sentence #2 asks the question politely and will indicate that you want to get your bags back.
If you want to say that you have come back to receive your bags, you can say:
"I'm here to fetch my bags."
"I'm here to receive my bags."
"I'm here to collect my bags."
"I'm here to fetch my bags."
"I'm here to receive my bags."
"I'm here to collect my bags."
Hi. Can I please get my bags that you were storing for me?
I am ready to pickup my bags. Can you get them for me?
Using the word "get" means that someone would be locating the bags or items for you. You can ask the question "Can you get them......or Can I please get them," because someone has been watching over your items while you were away and couldn't take care of them.
Can you get them..." や "Can I please get them..."
I've come to fetch my luggage which I asked to be kept in storage.
I've come for my luggage... Thanks for storing them.
> The words ''fetch'' and ''come for'' serve the same purpose in the following sentences:
''I've come to fetch my luggage which I asked to be kept in storage. ''
''I've come for my luggage... Thanks for storing them.''
They mean that you are there to get the thing(s) you had left behind with their permission.
''I've come to fetch my luggage which I asked to be kept in storage.''
''I've come for my luggage... Thanks for storing them.''
When you go on holiday then the bags/suitcases you take are also called 'luggage'
So you could say 'I'm here to collect' or 'I have come to collect' my luggage/bags
I've come to fetch my luggage/bags' to fetch something means to collect it or bring it back to you (like a dog fetches a ball and brings it back)
'I'm here to collect my luggage/bags'
'I have come to collect my luggage/bags'
'I've come to fetch my luggage/bags'
Hello! I stored some bags here a bit ago. Can I pick them up now please?
This is a very formal way to explain the situation in case a different person is working now and may not know the situation. You may also need to describe the bags. I hope that this helps. :)
Could I grab my bags please? I left stored them here earlier.
"I am here to receive my bags." - This is a very formal way of asking the person at the hotel to go and get your bags for you.
"I'm here to pick up my bags." - "I'm" is simply a quick way of saying "I am". By using 'pick up', it makes this a less formal way of asking for your bags.
"Could I grab my bags please? I left stored them here earlier." - This is a very informal, but friendly, way to ask for your bags. It is always good to say 'please' when asking someone to do something for you.
"I am here to receive my bags."(荷物を受け取りに来ました)
"I'm here to pick up my bags."(荷物を取りに来ました)
- "I'm" は "I am" の短縮形です。'
"Could I grab my bags please? I left stored them here earlier."(預けてある荷物を取りに来ました)
