I change my trash bag every day.
I need to buy more garbage bags!
In American English, both of these are acceptable names. Some regions of the US use one more than the other but both can be easily understood by native speakers.
As a native English speaker in Canada, I would use the term "garbage bag". I believe "trash bag" is more of an American term. Both are correct.
Example: "Please don't forget to pick up garbage bags on your way home!"
I hope this helps! :)
"Please don't forget to pick up garbage bags on your way home!"
In the UK we generally call it 'rubbish' rather than trash so you would say 'rubbish bag' although if you said 'garbage/trash bag' people would know what you mean
It is also referred to as a bin bag (as it goes in the bin)
It depends on where you're from, Americans say "trash bag" or "garbage bag" but in other places like Australia and UK, you can say "rubbish bag" or "bin bag". All are fine to use though and all mean the same thing; a place to put your waste.
"I change bin bags everyday, they're daily goods which run short quickly if you don't keep them stocked."
"Trash"
