よく海外ドラマや映画で、刑事や警察官が
凶器を持ってる人に対して、
"Drop your weapon (gun/knife)!"
「武器(銃/ナイフなど)を捨てろ!!」
という場面があります。
これは「手に持っているものを下に落とす」＝「捨てる」となります。
Cell phones always fall, even when we are not rushed, stressed, nervous, mad or tired. They just fall. Most of my friends have a cracked screen.
The cell phone is thin and sometimes small, so it is not easy to manage sometimes. If you are in a rush, sometimes the phone can slip right out of your hands. "My phone slipped right out of my hands".
Of course we are more nervous if we think we might miss the train. "I panicked because I thought I would miss my train and I dropped my phone". I wasn't paying attention and my phone fell, dropped, slipped from my hands, fell out of my pocket.
携帯はいつも落ちます。たとえ急いでいたりストレスを感じていたり緊張していたり怒っていたり疲れていなくても、携帯は落ちます。私の友達の携帯はたいてい画面が割れています。
携帯は薄くて、小さいものもありますから、扱うのが難しいときもあります。急いでいると、携帯が手からすり抜けてしまうこともあります。

もちろん電車に乗り遅れそうなら、なおさら緊張しているでしょう。
"I panicked because I thought I would miss my train and I dropped my phone"
（電車に乗り遅れると思ったから慌てていました、それで携帯を落としました）
"I wasn't paying attention and my phone fell/dropped/slipped from my hands/fell out of my pocket"
（不注意で携帯/手に持っていた携帯/携帯をポケットから落としてしまいました）

I dropped my phone by accident when I was rushing for the train .
" I dropped my phone by accident when I was rushing for the train . ." and " I was rushing to catch the train when my phone slipped and fell " are two ways to explain that the action was not intentional."Slipped" means you were holding it but not firmly and so it fell onto the ground."By accident" means that you did not plan for your phone to fall down and it happened without your intent.
"I dropped my phone by accident when I was rushing for the train"（電車に乗ろうと急いでいて携帯を落としてしまいました。
）
"I was rushing to catch the train when my phone slipped and fell"（電車に乗ろうと急いでいて携帯を落としてしまいました。
）
これらは、誤って電話を落としてしまったと伝える言い方です。
"Slipped" は、手に持っていた携帯が滑って地面に落ちてしまったことを表します。
"By accident" は、携帯を落としたことがわざとではなかったことを表します。

I was in a panic to catch the train and dropped my phone.
If panic is the feeling you have to catch the train on time, this sentence is fine. However, not everyone panics while catching public transport. Perhaps using 'rush' or 'mad rush' might be more appropriate for use.
I dropped my phone because I was in a rush.
I dropped my phone as I rushed to catch the train.
I dropped my phone while rushing to catch the train.
The 3 above statements have the same meaning but elaborate further on how much information you want to share with your listener. All have the idea that the dropped phone happened in the past.

- もし電車に乗ろうと 'panic'（パニック）になっているなら、この文で問題ありません。ただ、'panic' は公共の乗り物に乗ろうとするときの気持ちとして必ずしも一般的ではありません。もしかしたら 'rush' や 'mad rush' の方が適切かもしれません。

上記三つの文は同じ意味ですが、どのくらいの情報を伝えたいかによって言い方が変わっています。どの文も、携帯を落としたことを過去のこととして伝えています。

If you were in a hurry to catch a train and you dropped your phone because you were panicking or rushing, you could simply state "I was panicking and dropped my phone", "I was in a rush so I dropped my phone" or "I dropped my phone because I was in a rush". All three of these sentences directly explain that you dropped your phone because you were in a rush.
電車に乗ろうと慌てていて電話を落としてしなったのなら、シンプルに次のように言えます。
"I was panicking and dropped my phone"（慌てていて電話を落としてしまいました）
"I was in a rush so I dropped my phone"（急いでいて電話を落としてしまいました）
"I dropped my phone because I was in a rush".（急いでいて電話を落としてしました）
どの例も「急いでいて電話を落としまった」とストレートに伝えています。

（意味)急いでて携帯を落とした。
