渋滞しているって英語でなんて言うの？

日常会話でこの表現がよく使います。"traffic is pretty backed up right now"（今大分渋滞してる）, "traffic is seriously backed up"（非常に渋滞している）などで渋滞の程度が表せます。

交通渋滞　＝　traffic jam ですので、簡単に言うと、渋滞している　＝　there's a traffic jam.

「渋滞」は"congestion" と合ってるので、"the roads are congested", "there's some congestion on Highway 5"　などの言い方もあります。

例：
There's a traffic jam, so I might be late.
渋滞しているから、遅くなるかもしれません。
