Would you like to pack for this?
Would you like me to pack for this?
❶Would you like to take it home?
❷Would you like a “to go”box?
Can I have a “ to go” box?
Do you want that to go?
Do you want to eat in or take out?
Do you want that for here or to go?
When you notice someone still has food on their plate you can ask...
1. "Would you like a to-go box?"
Would you like - Meaning is this something you want.
To-go box - this is generally a small box made of styrofoam or a firm paper with a lid and dividers to place food into.
2. "Do you want to take the food with you?"
Do you want - again this is asking someone what they want to do.
Take - To leave the restaurant with the extra food on their plate.
1. "Would you like a to-go box?"(お持ち帰り用の容器をお持ちしましょうか)
2. "Do you want to take the food with you?"(料理をお持ち帰りになりますか)
Do you want -
If you work for a restaurant and want to ask a customer if they would like to pack back any leftover food, you can say something like "would you like to take home the leftovers?" or "would you like to pack this back?".
"would you like to take home the leftovers?"
"would you like to pack this back?"
If you go to a fast food restaurant people would usually ask for a take out. Meaning that they are taking the food home and they are not going to have their meal in the restaurant.
But if you go for a sit down meal in a restaurant and there are some leftovers which you would like to take home with you, you can ask the server or waiter/waitress for a take away.
Never feel embarressed about this, this quite common in a lot of countries and it is a very good way not to waste with food.
That is if you are going to have it for lunch the next day or give it to your cat or dog.
Hense the name doggy bag.
I have never heard of a catty bag.
Would you like the rest of the food in a take away container?
All of these sentences can be used to ask a customer if they would like to take the remaining food home with them.
Left-overs: means food, remaining after the rest has been used or consumed.
Take away container: A disposable box used for food.
