英語はまた発音によって同じ単語や表現が複数の意味をもつことが多々ありますね。
あくまでも[友達](https://eikaiwa.dmm.com/uknow/questions/33733/)ということであれば、〝boy FRIEND”（大文字を強調していう）と言えば間違いなく〝男友達”、〝girl FRIEND” が〝女友達” という意味として伝わります。またこれは文書で書くときも〝boy” や〝girl” とその後に続く〝friend” という単語の間にスペースを入れます。

Guy/male friend is a way of saying a friend that is a male.
You can also say "He" is a friend.
