This is the first time .... を使って言います。
もしこのシーズンと言うなら、最後に this season とつけてあげてください。

「この秋初めてセーターを着た。」
This is the first time I've had on a sweater this fall.
This is the first time I've worn a sweater this autumn.

= I hadn't worn a sweater until yesterday.
「昨日までセーターを着なかった。」＝「昨日初めてセーターを着た。」とも言えます。

「このシーズン初めてヒーターを点けた。」
This is the first time I've used the heater this season.

= I hadn't turned on the heater until yesterday.
「昨日までヒーターを点けなかった。」＝「昨日初めてヒーターを点けた。」とも言えます。
