"Bring" は「何かを持つ・持ってくる」という意味で、"don't need to bring much" となると「あまり持って来る必要がない」と言った意味になります。
"Much" を "a lot" と置き換えて "You don't need to bring a lot" でも「たくさん持って来なくていいよ」とほぼ同じ意味になります。
"Bring as little as you can" は「出来るだけ少なく（荷物を）持ってきて」といったニュアンスです。
「荷物」は英語で "luggage" で、"You don't need to bring much luggage" や "Bring as little luggage as you can" でも通じますが、"luggage" なしでもしっかり伝わります。
