boring「退屈な・つまらない」
turn off the TV で「テレビを消す」

ーI turned off the TV because the drama I was watching was so bad.
「見ていたドラマがあまりにもひどくて、テレビを消した。」

ちなみに「テレビをつける」と言うなら turn on the TV となります。
