He denied having stolen the money.
He denied stealing the money.

最初の文は時制を過去時制、2番目の文は時制を現在自制
The first sentence is past tense, 
the second sentence is present tense.

彼は今お金を盗んでいます。
He is stealing the money right now.

彼は昨日お金を盗んだ。
He stole the money yesterday.
