"つけ麺"は英語で"dipping noodles"、“つけ汁”は"dipping sauce"と訳すことができます。つけ麺は、日本独自の食文化として、そのまま「tsukemen」と言うことも多いです。
この呼び方は、麺とスープが別々に提供され、麺をスープに浸けて食べるという食べ方を表すために使われます。dippingは「浸すこと」を表す英単語で、音楽など他の形式の文化が交流する中で、特定の文化に固有の概念を説明するために使われることがあります。

In the UK few people are familiar with Japanese terms. We would just describe any dish with noodles as being 'noodles' and then speak about any added ingredients such as vegetables meat or sauce. Soy sauce, of course is well known in the UK.
