※「この間の話」を今風に翻訳すると「that thing」あるいは「that one thing」になります。
相手の理解がすぐに追いつかない場合、「You know... that THING you were talking about!」（「ほら、この間話してた『あれ』だよ！あれ！」）と促してみてください。

話題が既に持ち出されている状態であれば、単純に「So?」、「Well?」などで通じるケースもありますね。
理解しやすくするために、直後に「What happened?」を入れることも可能。

ですが、日本語で言う「あれ」のような感覚で使います。言葉を見つけるのが面倒でついつい言ってしまう「あれ」です。勿論仲のいい人のみに使うゆるい喋り方です。
turn out＝結果を出す、仕上がる
「どうなったか」と言う意味です。

結果をまず聞きたい場合こう言いましょう。
