非常事態だから仕方ないと思っていたが、常態化したら〜って英語でなんて言うの？

日常会話です。非常事態が常態化することへの不満です。
「コロナ禍は非常事態だから、旅行とか会食を我慢するのは仕方ないと思っていたけど、非常事態が常態化したら、非常事態はもはや非常事態ではない！」という内容を英語で言いたいです。
