the way ... see things で「…が物事を見る方法」

おっしゃったように、「景色」は「scenery」と言う意味があります。でもこのような場合では、「立場」と言うニュアンスがしますので、「the way (they) see things」=「彼らの見方」の方が自然です。
因みに、「the two」の代わりに「those two」や「they」も行っても大丈夫です。
