A "gambler" is probably the only term I know of that means "someone who likes to gamble." I think it's the most common term as well!

"Gambler" is someone who enjoys gambling. "Risk Taker" is someone who enjoys risking things. In Gambling you risk loosing money.

'Punter' is especially used for people gambling on horses, but may also be applied to gambling in general.

A person who gambles is called a "Gambler" not always related to putting bets on it can be related to someone who takes risks. For example; Driving a car under the influence would be known as "gambling with his licence" in other words risking his licence. He likes a bet - Someone who spends a lot of time in betting shops/bookies, casinos, always looking at horses in the paper etc. A mug! - If it is not you then you may call this person a mug! which is an offensive word, but you know that there is only one winner, and that will not be the player but the casinos, bookies etc. For example "You are a mug for losing so much money in the casino last night!"

Addicted to gambling Someone who is addicted to gambling is someone who likes gambling so much that they cannot make themselves stop gambling. 3. A compulsive gambler A compulsive gambler is someone who can't stop themselves from gambling even if they experience negative consequences.

Gambler is the usual word, but there are many slang terms. Highroller and dicer both refer to a person who likes to gamble for large amounts of money.
