この言い方は "prices" なので 物価の複数のことを表します。一つの商品の物価の場合は
"Recently, I'm just hoping that the price will lower soon." になります。

"these days" 「最近」
"I can only hope that ~" 「〜願うばかり」・「願ってやまない」
"the prices will come down soon" 「早く物価が下がる」

I'm just hoping recently ... という表現は不自然なので、次のように言うと自然で良いと思います。

「早く物価が下がることを心から願っている」
I've really been hoping ... 「…をずっと心から願っている」を使うと良いでしょう。
ーI keep thinking how nice it would be if the cost of living dropped.
「物価が下がったらどんなに良いだろうかと願ってやまない」
I keep thinking how nice it would be if ... で「もし…ならどんなに良いだろうかと考え続ける」＝「願ってやまない」というように表現することもできます。
