"repeat"とはもう一度言う、と言う意味です。

と言う事を言い表しています。
The two sentences you see above are great ways to ask your teacher if they can rephrase something they said that you do not understand. In the second sentence you will see the word reword. This means to rephrase or to say something in another way. This word would make a great addition to your vocabulary and is appropriate for both formal and informal settings.
Rephrase means to say it in another way. Simplify means to make something easier to understand. You can also say, "Can you clarify?" Clarify means to make something clearer. If you use these phrases after a tutor or teacher says something you cannot understand, they will know to change their words and the way they are explaining something to you.
