これが海外かって英語でなんて言うの？

海外留学中初めての授業でクラスのほぼ全員が遅刻してきて、思ったことです。
wowって圧巻されるイメージです。
I thought this was overseas.
自分で考えた文章です、他にもこんな言い方があるよなどアドバイス頂きたいです！

何か新しいことを発見したり、驚いたりした時には、now I see ... や now I get ... などを使って表現すると良いですよ。

ーNow I see, this is how things are overseas.
「なるほど、これが海外か」

ーNow I get how people live in other countries.
「海外の人はこうやって暮らしているんだ」

This is how things are overseas. や how people live in other countries.で「これが海外か」と言えます。
