の直訳に近い言い方は
That's a bit too early for my kid.
それはうちの子にちょっと早い
※ a bit
「ちょっと」みたいなカジュアルな言い方
※ my kid
「kid」はカジュアルな言い方
他に言えるのは、
I think my kid is still too young for that
この場合、「i think」を使うので「な」のような感覚が伝わります。
A: Can I give him chocolate?
B: Ah, well, I think my kid is still too young for that

言葉を入れ替えるところはあります。また、ダメな物を追加しても良いです。
