Don't ～だけを使うと「～しないで」と強い言い方になりますが、～, OK?を付け加えると「～してね/～してね。わかった？」というようにDon't～だけよりも柔らかい言い方になります。Don't ～, OK?は子供に対してもよく使う表現です。
例：Don't forget to brush your teeth before going to bed, OK? （寝る前に歯を磨くのを忘れないでね）
また、Don't～「～しないで」の代わりに、make sure～「～して/必ず～して」という言い方も使うことができます。
