- This could be by choice or you are not meeting the right people for dating.
If it it by choice you can say :

If you are just unlucky you can say:

Single describes not "having a boyfriend". Single is an adjective and means not to be in a stable romantic relationship. You have your own reasons for being single maybe because of a disappointment in the past. Your boyfriend cheated and you made a choice to be single due to trust issues. You are single because you are studying and do not want any hindrance that could affect your studies.
