my parents were very loving, they never scolded me
example
"My parents were very loving when I was
growing up, they never told me off."
or
"I had very caring parents, I was never
chastised as a child for being naughty."
or
"My parents never told me off."
or

In the UK, when a person, usually a child, is reprimanded; meaning scolded or told not to do something, usually through concern or anger, we call this "telling off". For example:
"Mother told me off for eating the sweets"
"I won't do that as I don't want to be told off by my parents"
"If I go there, my parents will give me a good telling off!"
イギリスでは、通常、子供が"reprimanded"(叱られる)、つまり、心配されたり、怒られて、怒鳴られたり、何かをしてはダメと言われる時、"telling off"(怒こる)と言います。例:
"Mother told me off for eating the sweets"(スイーツを食べて、母親に怒られた。)
"I won't do that as I don't want to be told off by my parents"(親に怒られたくないから、それはしない。)
"If I go there, my parents will give me a good telling off!"(もしそこへ行ったら、親にすごく怒られてしまう!)
These three expressions can be used interchangeably even with the main verbs being changed. "To yell," refers to speaking in a loud voice, usually in anger or to get someone's attention from afar. "to scold," refers to speaking to someone about the things they do wrong, it a way that is criticizing. Lastly we can use, "to get angry," as a general way to say they were never mad at you.
My parents have never scolded/yelled me.
This means that your parents have never yelled at you maybe because you are a well behaved person.
