  • Break a leg.

Break a leg. - This is a term used mostly in theatre as a way to wish someone good luck. Breaking a leg would be the worst thing to do before a performance. It is thought of as a bad thing or "jinx" to wish someone good luck. So by wishing someone bad luck, you are actually sending them good luck. You'll kill it! I know you will! - to kill something is to do something so well A. Wow! You killed it last night on stage. B. Thanks, I was rehearsing so much for the last few months.
"You'll kill it! I know you will!" A. Wow! You killed it last night on stage. 昨夜の君のステージとってもうまかったよ) B. Thanks, I was rehearsing so much for the last few months.

  • You're going to kick ass!

Kick ass' means to be very exciting or forceful: "The band plays kick-ass rock and roll."This phrase becomes even more appropriate in terms of a contest because you have the imagery of someone kicking another persons 'ass.' If you believe in someone, you believe that what they are doing is good and they will succeed in the activity they are doing.
【例】 "The band plays kick-ass rock and roll."

  • I know you can make it.

Saying you "believe" someone can do something means you have confidence in that persons abilities. "Faith" in this context is a synonym for trust, you trust that they will succeed. For example: "I have complete faith that you will pass the test tomorrow!"
例文 "I have complete faith that you will pass the test tomorrow!"
