何かと何かの違いを言いたいとき、 difference between A and B 「AとBの間の違い」 という言い方を使うのがとても便利です。 There are huge differences between the U.S and Japanese education systems. 「アメリカと日本の教育システムにはとても大きな違いがあります」 ※There is/are「~があります」 ※huge「大きい」 次のように A is different from B 「AとBは異なる」 という言い方を用いてもいいですね。 Japanese schools are very different from America's. 「日本の学校とアメリカの(学校)はとても違っています」 ご参考になれば幸いです。

  • There is a marked difference between Japanese and US schools

A Marked Difference means that there is a significant variance or noticeable distinction between two things. It may be necessary to further identify exactly what these differences are.
"A Marked Difference"とは「著しい違い」「明白な違い」という意味です。この違いが何なのかより具体的に言う必要があるかもしれません。

  • There's a big difference between Japanese and American schools

  • There's a huge difference between the Japanese and American school system

  • The education systems in Japan and America are totally different

The great thing about the English language is the ability to express nuance. To say there is a big difference is not so dramatic as saying there is a huge or vast difference which would infer very little similarities. However, to say "totally different" would mean no similarities. Depending on your opinion, you can use adjectives such as big, huge, massive, vast and so on.
英語の素晴らしいところはニュアンスを伝えられるところです。 "there is a big difference"は"there is a huge/ vast difference"ほどドラマチックな言い方ではありません。"there is a huge/ vast difference"は類似点がほとんどないことを表します。 一方、"totally different"は、類似点が全くないという意味合いです。 自分の意見に応じて、"big"、"huge"、"massive"、"vast"などの形容詞を使うことができます。

  • There is a massive difference between schools in Japan and schools in the US.

  • There is a very big difference between schools in Japan and schools in the US.

The two sentences you see provided above are excellent ways to express to your listener that the schools in the US and the schools in Japan have huge differences. In the first sentence you will notice the word massive. This word means very big or huge. This is a word that is common in our everyday conversation and it would make a great addition to your vocabulary.
上記二つの例はどちらも、アメリカの学校と日本の学校には大きな違いがあることを伝える言い方です。 一つ目の例には、'massive'という単語が使われています。'massive'は「とても大きな」という意味です。これは日常会話でよく使われる単語ですので、ぜひ語彙に加えておいてください。

  • Schools in Japan and the US are hugely different

  • There is a lot of variation between schools in the US and Japan

Massive, enormous, huge, vast could also be used to mean large in this context. You could also use the phrase 'pertinent differences' if those differences were particularly significant for the point you are trying to make. You could continue your speech by explaining what the differences are. ' Such as ...' 'These are ...' 'Because ...'
この場合、大きいという意味で、'massive'や'enormous'、'huge'、'vast'も使うことができます。 また、その主張の核となる違いについて言う場合には、'pertinent differences'(関係する違い)というフレーズも使えます。 'Such as ...'(~のような) 'These are ...'(これらは) 'Because ...'(なぜなら)
