直訳的な言い方ですと
There is no special reason.
「特別な理由はありません」
I don't have any particular reason.
「特別な理由はありません」
という風に言うことができます。
specialやparticularが「特別な・とりわけの」という意味を表しています。
会話などでは極端に省略して
No reason (in particular).
「（とりわけ）理由なんてないよ」
のように言うこともしばしばあります。
状況にもよりますが、たとえば相手に何か質問をして、
Why?「なんで（そんなこと聞くの）？」
と逆に聞き返されたときなどには、
Just curious.とかI'm just wondering.「なんとなく気になっただけ」と言って、「取り立てて大した理由はない」ことを伝えることもよくあります。

Well, it depends what the 'something' is. Is it someone's behaviour? Is it a scientific phenomenon? Is it a family routine? Really, there is probabl;y a reason for everything if we think hard enough about it.
If someone is getting married in a foreign country and there are 3 cows standing beside the bride and groom, an onlooker may ask, "What is the reason for the cows being here?" You could respond with the first example. But there is a reason for it, for sure!

Particular' means a single thing so if you say 'there's no particular reason' then you are saying there is no single reason why you do/don't do something. So you could say 'There's no particular reason' or 'No reason in particular'

Fancy - この文脈では「～を好む、～がほしい」という意味です。
The two sentences you see provided above are excellent ways to express to your listener that you have no special reason for doing something. In the first sentence you will notice the word particular and in the second sentence you will notice the word specific. Although these words have different meanings in these sentences they both mean special.
If you did something and there is really no specific reason you can use any of these sentences to let the person know that your action didn't have a specific reason behind it .
