A bowl of rice topped with slices of deep-fried pork.
Katsudon is a bowl of rice topped with slices of deep-fried pork, beaten egg, and slices of onions cooked in a sweet soy sauce based broth.
1. It's boiled rice with a fried pork cutlet served with fried egg, a few vegetables and spices
2. Rice, pork and egg (short description)
3. It's a pork and veg omelette served on rice (short description)
1. This is the definitive description to describe the dish exactly.
2. This is a shorter description - for example if you are giving someone some quick information while browsing through the menu.
3. Another short description. The word 'vegetables' is often shortened to the word 'veg' - pronounced /vej/in the UK. A person who is a vegetarian may also be commonly described as a 'Veggie' /veji:/

A "rice bowl" is a bowl with rice inside.
And "rice topped with deep fried pork or chicken" is the literal translation of Katsudon. The expression '...topped with.." explains that there is food 'on top' of the rice in the
bowl :)
