Sometimes, when we talk about time in English, we can just use the verb "to be" and the amount of time afterwards to describe how long something takes. In this case, the phrase would be "it was about 30 minutes."
I hope that this helps :)

Within the English language - especially in the UK we use 30 minutes and half an hour interchangeably. This means that you may hear a person say either in a sentence.
Also instead of saying 'my' hotel you would be correct in saying 'the' hotel. As long as there was no other hotel being spoken about previously.
英語圏、特にイギリスでは、"30 minutes"と"half an hour"のどちらも使います。
また、この前に他のホテルの話をしていなければ、'my hotel'ではなく'the hotel'と言うのが正しいです。
It took me around 30 minutes to get here from my hotel.
It was about 30 minutes from my hotel to here.
Using the word 'around' is just like saying 'about' -- they both mean 'approximately'. You could also say 'It was about a 30 minute walk from my hotel to here.', and replace 'walk' with whatever form of transportation you used.
「around」は「about」とほぼ同じで、両方とも「約」「およそ」という意味です。
また、次のように言って、
It was about a 30 minute walk from my hotel to here.(ホテルからここまで徒歩で約30分でした。)
「walk」を自分の使う交通手段に置き換えることもできます。
