The first translation is saying that whenever there is some free time that the person likes to spend it in a cafe.
The second which is a little more detailed mentions that 'when i have been released from work' this means that the person has now finished work or they have been given time off.
The word 'often' also implies that it is not every time that the have off from work that they spend in a cafe.
