この場合、次のような言い方ができますよ。
ーI'm able to read sentences that are easy, but I really need to improve my listening abilities.
「簡単な文は読めますが、リスニング力をもっと上げる必要があります」
to be able to read sentences that are easy で「簡単な文章を読むことができる」と言えます。
