  • I really admire a senior co-worker because of his character and abilty

  • I have a great, senior colleague who is both clever and amiable

You could either openly state that you admire this person, or else, describe that person with a very positive adjective - or a series of positive adjectives like 'great,' 'amiable' and 'clever.' Or you could combine the two: "I respect this more senior employee because of his great character and amazing ability to get on with people."
堂々と尊敬できるということもできるし、その人にgreat, amiable, cleverなど良い意味の形容詞を使うこともできます。二つを重ねて使っても良いですね。 例;"I respect this more senior employee because of his great character and amazing ability to get on with people."

  • I have a senior at work who I respect for his personality and job skills.

  • There is a senior who I look up to because of his(her) personality and work ability.

1.I have a senior at work who I respect for his personality and job skills. 人間性と仕事のスキルから、尊敬している先輩が職場にいます。 解説:seniorは先輩、at workは職場にて〜、 respectは尊敬する、personalityは性格、という意味です。for はいろな意味がある前置詞ですが、この場合は理由を表現しています。〜がゆえに、というニュアンスですね。 2.There's a senior who I look up to because of his(her) personality and work ability. 人間性と仕事の能力において尊敬する先輩がいます。 解説:There is〜で、〜が存在する、という言葉にして、先輩が存在する、と言い換えてみました。look up to〜で、〜を尊敬する、という意味です。abilityは能力、という意味で、work abilityというと、職能です。 そんな上司がいると、仕事がますます好きになっちゃいますね! ではまた!

  • There is a senior at work who I respect for his personality and work skills.

  • I really look up to this senior at work for his personality and work skills.

Remember we say "work skills" instead of "skill for work". This is the correct word format. You can use the sentence above to express yourself. To look up to someone is a phrasal verb that means to have a great deal of respect for someone.
「skill for work」の代わりに「work skills」と言うことができることを覚えておいてください。 正しい言葉の形です。 上記の文章を使うことができます。 「To look up to someone」とは、誰かを尊敬するという意味のフレーズ動詞です。

  • There is a senior employee that I highly respect.

  • There is a senior employee that I hold in high regard.

In English we use the term hold in high regard to express great respect for someone or something. This term is very common in English, both in our everyday conversation and in a formal setting like a business meeting or in the office. This term would be a great addition to your vocabulary.

  • I look up to my senior work colleague

  • I look up to my boss

  • I look up to (name)

"look up to" is a phrasal verb meaning that you respect or admire someone because of their achievements or abilities. It is the perfect phrasal verb to use when you respect someones abilities and skills or where they are acting as a role model. In natural English conversations when we are talking about our work colleagues we would refer to them either by name or by their position. I really look up to my boss, he's a great guy. I really look up to Alan, he does an amazing job. We dont normally use the expression senior.
「look up to(=句動詞)」は、能力や功績で、人を尊敬している、憧れている、という意味です。 人の能力やスキルを評価したり、お手本としている人について話すときに使えます。 仕事の同僚について話すときは、普通名前や役職で呼びます。 I really look up to my boss, he's a great guy. 〔訳〕ボスを本当に尊敬しています。素晴らしい人です。 I really look up to Alan, he does an amazing job. 〔訳〕アランを本当に尊敬しています。素晴らしい仕事をします。 「senior」は普通使いません。

  • I respect this senior at work for his personality and work skills.

  • He has my respect due to his personality and his work skills.

  • Work ethic.

We can use the first two sentences to describe that, "he has my respect due to..," or that, "I respect this person for.." for whatever following reasons. "Work ethic," would also be a good word choice when talking about someones responsibility and work skills.
